Meet our team
Clark Brooks, President
Clark Brooks brings with him a lifelong passion for aviation. He began taking lessons at age 13, and earned his license as early as possible, at age 17. A graduate of Baylor University's Aviation Science program, Clark has amassed nearly 2,000 hours of flying time and is an experienced multi-engine pilot. Interesting fact: Clark completed a career assignment in Kindergarten saying he wanted to be a pilot when he grew up.
Aaron Dabney, Chief Flight Instructor
Aaron has been flying for over a decade and has given over 2,000 hours of flight instruction. He spent his weekends growing up at a historic grass airstrip, and tries to bring that passion and feeling to his teaching. Aaron also holds a master of science degree in education, and serves as adjunct faculty in Baylor University's Aviation Science program. Interesting fact: Aaron learned to fly as a teen in the same airplane that gave him his first ride as a toddler.
John Lincke, Flight Instructor
John has been with WFS since 2011 and is our in-house multi-engine guru. A typical airport kid growing up, John grew up to earn a bachelor's degree in Aviation Science from Tarleton State University. He loves "working for and with people" that share his passion. Interesting fact: John is obsessed with Hawaii, and hopes to live there one day.
Robert Baker, Flight Instructor
Robert is our newest team member. A graduate of Baylor University's Aviation Sciences program, he had always wanted to be a pilot. During his sophomore year in college, he found out that he could actually study aviation, and the die was cast. Robert loves helping people achieve "what most are never able to do." Interesting fact: Robert was the first completely home-grown WFS student, earning every certificate with us beginning with the Private Pilot license.
Laura Rowell, Customer Service
Laura has worked in the aviation business for 8 years, both in airline and general aviation environments. She says that aviation has become a part of her over the years and is excited to work in our dynamic environment. Interesting fact: Laura loves being around aircraft, but is a nervous flier. We're working on that!
Joe and Gail Brooks, Financial Backers
Mr. and Mrs. Brooks of Goldthwaite, Texas, saw great potential in what was being done by our company and are enabling us to expand and offer more services to more customers. Joe serves as Vice President of the company, is an active pilot, and is currently building his first airplane. We could say that Gail got us where we are as a company: she drove Clark the 40 miles from Goldthwaite to Brownwood "millions of times" for his flight lessons. We're grateful for their support and influence!
